To demonstrate how this method works, we identify and analyze spin textures with topological charge $Q$ ranging from 1 to $-13$ (where antiskyrmions have $Q<0$) in the Pd/Fe/Ir(111) system, which we model using a classical atomistic spin Hamiltonian based on parameters computed from density functional theory.

Antichiral Ferromagnetism

Here by combining a symmetry-based analysis with numerical computations we predict a new kind of magnetic ordering - antichiral ferromagnetism.

Magnetic skyrmions, chiral kinks and holomorphic functions

no code implementations13 Jul 2020 Vladyslav M. Kuchkin, Bruno Barton-Singer, Filipp N. Rybakov, Stefan Blügel, Bernd J. Schroers, Nikolai S. Kiselev

In particular, we show that the topological charge of magnetic skyrmions can be expressed in terms of the constituent closed domain walls and chiral kinks.
