A Possible Converter to Denoise the Images of Exoplanet Candidates through Machine Learning Techniques

no code implementations11 Jan 2023 Pattana Chintarungruangchai, Ing-Guey Jiang, Jun Hashimoto, Yu Komatsu, Mihoko Konishi

The standard method employs angular differential imaging (ADI) technique, and more ADI image frames could lead to the results with larger signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR).

Searching for Possible Exoplanet Transits from BRITE Data through a Machine Learning Technique

no code implementations18 Dec 2020 Li-Chin Yeh, Ing-Guey Jiang

The photometric light curves of BRITE satellites were examined through a machine learning technique to investigate whether there are possible exoplanets moving around nearby bright stars.

On the Scaling and Spacing of Extra-Solar Multi-Planet Systems

no code implementations17 Dec 2020 Li-Chin Yeh, Ing-Guey Jiang, Sridhar Gajendran

We investigate whether certain extra-solar multi-planet systems simultaneously follow the scaling and spacing rules of the angular-momentum-deficit model.

Are There Transit Timing Variations for the Exoplanet Qatar-1b ?

no code implementations15 Dec 2020 Li-Hsin Su, Ing-Guey Jiang, Devesh P. Sariya, Chiao-Yu Lee, Li-Chin Yeh, Vineet Kumar Mannaday, Parijat Thakur, D. K. Sahu, Swadesh Chand, A. A. Shlyapnikov, V. V. Moskvin, Vladimir Ignatov, David Mkrtichian, Evgeny Griv

Motivated by the unsettled conclusion on whether there are any transit timing variations (TTVs) for the exoplanet Qatar-1b, 10 new transit light curves are presented and the TTV analysis with a baseline of 1400 epochs are performed.
