Energy-efficient Time-modulated Beam-forming for Joint Communication-Radar Systems

no code implementations7 Aug 2023 Chengzhao Shan, Jiayan Zhang, YongKui Ma, Xuejun Sha, Honglin Zhao, Jiankang Zhang, Lajos Hanzo

JCR systems based on time-modulated arrays (TMAs) constitute an attractive solution as a benefit of their high degree of beam steering freedom, low cost, and high accuracy.

Low Earth Orbit Satellite Security and Reliability: Issues, Solutions, and the Road Ahead

no code implementations9 Jan 2022 Pingyue Yue, Jianping An, Jiankang Zhang, Jia Ye, Gaofeng Pan, Shuai Wang, Pei Xiao, Lajos Hanzo

Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites undergo a period of rapid development driven by ever-increasing user demands, reduced costs, and technological progress.

Deep Reinforcement Learning Aided Packet-Routing For Aeronautical Ad-Hoc Networks Formed by Passenger Planes

no code implementations28 Oct 2021 Dong Liu, Jingjing Cui, Jiankang Zhang, Chenyang Yang, Lajos Hanzo

Data packet routing in aeronautical ad-hoc networks (AANETs) is challenging due to their high-dynamic topology.

Deep Learning Aided Packet Routing in Aeronautical Ad-Hoc Networks Relying on Real Flight Data: From Single-Objective to Near-Pareto Multi-Objective Optimization

no code implementations28 Oct 2021 Dong Liu, Jiankang Zhang, Jingjing Cui, Soon-Xin Ng, Robert G. Maunder, Lajos Hanzo

Furthermore, we extend the DL-aided routing algorithm to a multi-objective scenario, where we aim for simultaneously minimizing the delay, maximizing the path capacity, and maximizing the path lifetime.

Deep Learning Aided Routing for Space-Air-Ground Integrated Networks Relying on Real Satellite, Flight, and Shipping Data

no code implementations28 Oct 2021 Dong Liu, Jiankang Zhang, Jingjing Cui, Soon-Xin Ng, Robert G. Maunder, Lajos Hanzo

Current maritime communications mainly rely on satellites having meager transmission resources, hence suffering from poorer performance than modern terrestrial wireless networks.

Physical Layer Security of Intelligent Reflective Surface Aided NOMA Networks

no code implementations6 Nov 2020 Zhiqing Tang, Tianwei Hou, Yuanwei Liu, Jiankang Zhang, Lajos Hanzo

We finally show that: 1) the expectation of the channel gain in the reflected links is determined both by the number of IRSs and by the Nakagami-m fading parameters; 2) The SOP of both receiver 1 and receiver 2 becomes unity, when the number of IRSs is sufficiently high; 3) The secrecy diversity orders are affected both by the number of IRSs and by the Nakagami-m fading parameters, whereas the high-SNR slopes are not affected by these parameters.

An Unified Intelligence-Communication Model for Multi-Agent System Part-I: Overview

no code implementations25 Nov 2018 Bo Zhang, Bin Chen, Jinyu Yang, Wenjing Yang, Jiankang Zhang

Motivated by Shannon's model and recent rehabilitation of self-supervised artificial intelligence having a "World Model", this paper propose an unified intelligence-communication (UIC) model for describing a single agent and any multi-agent system.
