Dans cette pr{\'e}sentation, je d{\'e}fendrai l{'}id{\'e}e selon laquelle des ressources terminologiques d{\'e}crivant les propri{\'e}t{\'e}s lexico-s{\'e}mantiques des termes constituent un compl{\'e}ment n{\'e}cessaire, voire indispensable, {\`a} d{'}autres types de ressources, {\`A} partir d{'}exemples anglais et fran{\c{c}}ais emprunt{\'e}s au domaine de l{'}environnement, je montrerai, d{'}une part, que les ressources lexicales g{\'e}n{\'e}rales (y compris celles qui ont une large couverture) n{'}offrent pas un portait complet du sens des termes ou de la structure lexicale observ{\'e}e du point de vue d{'}un domaine de sp{\'e}cialit{\'e}.
