Wireless Ear EEG to Monitor Drowsiness

no code implementations11 Jan 2024 Ryan Kaveh, Carolyn Schwendeman, Ana C. Arias, Rikky Muller

These results demonstrate for the first time that dry, 3D printed, user-generic electrodes can be used with wireless electronics to rapidly prototype wearable systems, which achieve comparable average accuracy (>90%) to existing state-of-the-art in-ear and scalp ExG systems that utilize wet electrodes and wired, benchtop electronics.

Memory-Efficient, Limb Position-Aware Hand Gesture Recognition using Hyperdimensional Computing

no code implementations9 Mar 2021 Andy Zhou, Rikky Muller, Jan Rabaey

Electromyogram (EMG) pattern recognition can be used to classify hand gestures and movements for human-machine interface and prosthetics applications, but it often faces reliability issues resulting from limb position change.
