The Universal Dependencies (UD) project seeks to develop cross-linguistically consistent treebank annotation of morphology and syntax for multiple languages. The first version of the dataset was released in 2015 and consisted of 10 treebanks over 10 languages. Version 2.7 released in 2020 consists of 183 treebanks over 104 languages. The annotation consists of UPOS (universal part-of-speech tags), XPOS (language-specific part-of-speech tags), Feats (universal morphological features), Lemmas, dependency heads and universal dependency labels.

This was constructed using the urls and paragraph indices provided by the CC-Net repository by processing January-December 2018 Commoncrawl snapshots. Multilingual Grade School Math Benchmark (MGSM) is a benchmark of grade-school math problems. The same 250 problems from GSM8K are each translated via human annotators in 10 languages. GSM8K (Grade School Math 8K) is a dataset of 8.5K high-quality linguistically diverse grade school math word problems. Naamapadam

Naamapadam is a Named Entity Recognition (NER) dataset for the 11 major Indian languages from two language families. In each language, it contains more than 400k sentences annotated with a total of at least 100k entities from three standard entity categories (Person, Location and Organization) for 9 out of the 11 languages. The training dataset has been automatically created from the Samanantar parallel corpus by projecting automatically tagged entities from an English sentence to the corresponding Indian language sentence.

GeoCoV19

GeoCoV19 is a large-scale Twitter dataset containing more than 524 million multilingual tweets. The dataset contains around 378K geotagged tweets and 5.4 million tweets with Place information. The annotations include toponyms from the user location field and tweet content and resolve them to geolocations such as country, state, or city level. In this case, 297 million tweets are annotated with geolocation using the user location field and 452 million tweets using tweet content.

MVALUE

MVALUE (Multilingual human VALUE dataset)

Multilingual human VALUE(MVALUE) is a multilingual dataset covering 7 concepts of human values: morality, deontology, utilitarianism, fairness, truthfulness, toxicity and harmfulness, each concept subset of it includes positive and negative texts that represent the two opposing directions of the concept. We performed translation on collected human value datasets from English into 15 non-English languages using Google Translate. These languages belong to various language families, including Indo-European (Catalan, French, Indonesian, Portuguese, Spanish), NigerCongo (Chichewa, Swahili), Dravidian (Tamil, Telugu), Uralic (Finnish, Hungarian), Sino-Tibetan (Chinese), Japonic (Japanese), Koreanic (Korean) and Austro-Asiatic (Vietnamese).

NISP- A Multi-lingual Multi-accent Dataset for Speaker Profiling

We announce the release of a new multilingual speaker dataset called NITK-IISc Multilingual Multi-accent Speaker Profiling(NISP) dataset. The dataset contains speech in six different languages -- five Indian languages along with Indian English. The dataset contains speech data from 345 bilingual speakers in India. Each speaker has contributed about 4-5 minutes of data that includes recordings in both English and their mother tongue. The transcript for the text is provided in UTF-8 format. For every speaker, the dataset contains speaker meta-data such as L1, native place, medium of instruction, current residing place etc. In addition the dataset also contains physical parameter information of the speakers such as age, height, shoulder size and weight. We hope that the dataset is useful for a diverse set of research activities including multilingual speaker recognition, language and accent recognition, automatic speech recognition etc.

WEATHub

WEATHub is a dataset containing 24 languages. It contains words organized into groups of (target1, target2, attribute1, attribute2) to measure the association target1:target2 :: attribute1:attribute2. For example target1 can be insects, target2 can be flowers. And we might be trying to measure whether we find insects or flowers pleasant or unpleasant. The measurement of word associations is quantified using the WEAT metric in our paper. It is a metric that calculates an effect size (Cohen's d) and also provides a p-value (to measure statistical significance of the results). In our paper, we use word embeddings from language models to perform these tests and understand biased associations in language models across different languages.

CVIT PIB

We present sentence aligned parallel corpora across 10 Indian Languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Urdu, Bengali, Oriya, Marathi, Punjabi, and English - many of which are categorized as low resource. The corpora are compiled from online sources which have content shared across languages. The corpora presented significantly extends present resources that are either not large enough or are restricted to a specific domain (such as health). We also provide a separate test corpus compiled from an independent online source that can be independently used for validating the performance in 10 Indian languages. Alongside, we report on the methods of constructing such corpora using tools enabled by recent advances in machine translation and cross-lingual retrieval using deep neural network based methods.
