Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) affects at least 5-10% of school-age children and is associated with substantial lifelong impairment, with annual direct costs exceeding $36 billion/year in the US. Despite a voluminous empirical literature, the scientific community remains without a comprehensive model of the pathophysiology of ADHD. Further, the clinical community remains without objective biological tools capable of informing the diagnosis of ADHD for an individual or guiding clinicians in their decision-making regarding treatment.

Neural fields (NeFs) have recently emerged as a versatile method for modeling signals of various modalities, including images, shapes, and scenes. Subsequently, many works have explored the use of NeFs as representations for downstream tasks, e.g. classifying an image based on the parameters of a NeF that has been fit to it. However, the impact of the NeF hyperparameters on their quality as downstream representation is scarcely understood and remains largely unexplored. This is partly caused by the large amount of time required to fit datasets of neural fields.

The increasing use of deep learning techniques has reduced interpretation time and, ideally, reduced interpreter bias by automatically deriving geological maps from digital outcrop models. However, accurate validation of these automated mapping approaches is a significant challenge due to the subjective nature of geological mapping and the difficulty in collecting quantitative validation data. Additionally, many state-of-the-art deep learning methods are limited to 2D image data, which is insufficient for 3D digital outcrops, such as hyperclouds. To address these challenges, we present Tinto, a multi-sensor benchmark digital outcrop dataset designed to facilitate the development and validation of deep learning approaches for geological mapping, especially for non-structured 3D data like point clouds.
