The High Time Resolution Universe survey XIV: Discovery of 23 pulsars through GPU-accelerated reprocessing

1 code implementation12 Nov 2018 V. Morello, E. D. Barr, S. Cooper, M. Bailes, S. Bates, N. D. R. Bhat, M. Burgay, S. Burke-Spolaor, A. D. Cameron, D. J. Champion, R. P. Eatough, C. M. L. Flynn, A. Jameson, S. Johnston, M. J. Keith, E. F. Keane, M. Kramer, L. Levin, C. Ng, E. Petroff, A. Possenti, B. W. Stappers, W. van Straten, C. Tiburzi

We have also introduced an outlier detection algorithm for efficient radio-frequency interference (RFI) mitigation on folded data, a new approach that enabled the discovery of pulsars previously masked by RFI.

Swiggum, S. J. Vigeland, W. W. Zhu

We detect significant jitter in 43 of the pulsars and test several functional forms for its frequency dependence; we find significant frequency dependence for 30 pulsars.

Spiewak, I. H. Stairs, K. Stovall, J. K. Swiggum, W. Zhu

We filter out long time scale DM fluctuations attributable to structure in the interstellar medium and carry out a simultaneous analysis of all pulsars in our sample that can differentiate the correlated signature of the wind from signals unique to individual lines of sight.
