We report muon spin rotation (${\mu}$SR) experiments together with first-principles calculations on microscopic properties of superconductivity in the kagome superconductor LaRu$_3$Si$_2$ with $T_{\rm c}$ ${\simeq}$ 7K.

Here, we present a clear-cut theoretical and experimental demonstration that the second-order nonlinear susceptibility can vary by orders of magnitude as a result of giant cancellation effects in systems with many confined quantum states.
