Entropic Herding

no code implementations22 Dec 2021 Hiroshi Yamashita, Hideyuki Suzuki, Kazuyuki Aihara

Using the proposed entropic herding algorithm as a framework, we discuss a closer connection between herding and the maximum entropy principle.

Extended dynamic mode decomposition with dictionary learning using neural ordinary differential equations

no code implementations1 Oct 2021 Hiroaki Terao, Sho Shirasaka, Hideyuki Suzuki

Data-driven method called the extended dynamic mode decomposition (EDMD) and its variants, which approximate the Koopman operator associated with the nonlinear phenomena, have been rapidly developing by incorporating machine learning methods.

Hypergraph $p$-Laplacian: A Differential Geometry View

2 code implementations22 Nov 2017 Shota Saito, Danilo P. Mandic, Hideyuki Suzuki

The proposed $p$-Laplacian is shown to outperform standard hypergraph Laplacians in the experiment on a hypergraph semi-supervised learning and normalized cut setting.

Spectrum of the Supernova Relic Neutrino Background and Metallicity Evolution of Galaxies

1 code implementation4 Mar 2015 Ken'ichiro Nakazato, Eri Mochida, Yuu Niino, Hideyuki Suzuki

Using this model, the dependences of SRNs on the cosmic star formation rate density, shock revival time and equation of state are investigated.

Supernova Neutrino Light Curves and Spectra for Various Progenitor Stars: From Core Collapse to Proto-neutron Star Cooling

1 code implementation25 Oct 2012 Ken'ichiro Nakazato, Kohsuke Sumiyoshi, Hideyuki Suzuki, Tomonori Totani, Hideyuki Umeda, Shoichi Yamada

To follow the evolution from the onset of collapse to 20 s after the core bounce, we combine the results of neutrino-radiation hydrodynamic simulations for the early phase and quasi-static evolutionary calculations of neutrino diffusion for the late phase, with different values of shock revival time as a parameter that should depend on the still unknown explosion mechanism.
