Joint Power Optimization and AP Selection for Secure Cell-Free Massive MIMO

no code implementations12 Jan 2024 Yasseen Sadoon Atiya, Zahra Mobini, Hien Quoc Ngo, Michail Matthaiou

In this paper, we investigate joint power control and access point (AP) selection scheme in a cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output (CF-mMIMO) system under an active eavesdropping attack, where an eavesdropper tries to overhear the signal sent to one of the legitimate users by contaminating the uplink channel estimation.

Massive MIMO for Serving Federated Learning and Non-Federated Learning Users

no code implementations17 May 2022 Muhammad Farooq, Tung Thanh Vu, Hien Quoc Ngo, Le-Nam Tran

It is anticipated that future wireless networks will jointly serve both FL and downlink non-FL user groups in the same time-frequency resource.

Serving Federated Learning and Non-Federated Learning Users: A Massive MIMO Approach

no code implementations17 May 2022 Muhammad Farooq, Tung T. Vu, Hien Quoc Ngo, Le-Nam Tran

We propose a communication scheme that serves the downlink of the non-FL users (UEs) and the uplink of FL UEs in each half of the frequency band.

How Does Cell-Free Massive MIMO Support Multiple Federated Learning Groups?

no code implementations20 Jul 2021 Tung T. Vu, Hien Quoc Ngo, Thomas L. Marzetta, Michail Matthaiou

Federated learning (FL) has been considered as a promising learning framework for future machine learning systems due to its privacy preservation and communication efficiency.

Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces at Terahertz Bands: Channel Modeling and Analysis

no code implementations28 Mar 2021 Konstantinos Dovelos, Stylianos D. Assimonis, Hien Quoc Ngo, Boris Bellalta, Michail Matthaiou

An intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) at terahertz (THz) bands is expected to have a massive number of reflecting elements to compensate for the severe propagation losses.

A Low-Complexity Approach for Max-Min Fairness in Uplink Cell-Free Massive MIMO
