Makadi: A Large-Scale Human-Labeled Dataset for Hindi Semantic Parsing

no code implementations WILDRE (LREC) 2022 Shashwat Vaibhav, Nisheeth Srivastava

This has created an asymmetry in progress in NLIDB solutions, with most state-of-the-art efforts focused on the resource-rich English language, with limited progress seen for low resource languages.

Effective extractive summarization using frequency-filtered entity relationship graphs

no code implementations24 Oct 2018 Archit Sakhadeo, Nisheeth Srivastava

Word frequency-based methods for extractive summarization are easy to implement and yield reasonable results across languages.

A simple model of recognition and recall memory

no code implementations NeurIPS 2017 Nisheeth Srivastava, Edward Vul

To test this theory, by manipulating the number of items and cues in a memory experiment, we show a crossover effect in memory performance within subjects such that recognition performance is superior to recall performance when the number of items is greater than the number of cues and recall performance is better than recognition when the converse holds.

Magnitude-sensitive preference formation`

no code implementations NeurIPS 2014 Nisheeth Srivastava, Ed Vul, Paul R. Schrater

Our understanding of the neural computations that underlie the ability of animals to choose among options has advanced through a synthesis of computational modeling, brain imaging and behavioral choice experiments.

Rational inference of relative preferences

no code implementations NeurIPS 2012 Nisheeth Srivastava, Paul R. Schrater

Statistical decision theory axiomatically assumes that the relative desirability of different options that humans perceive is well described by assigning them option-specific scalar utility functions.
