Physics-compliant diagonal representation of beyond-diagonal RIS

no code implementations25 Mar 2024 Philipp del Hougne

Consequently, we recognize that a BD-RIS-parametrized radio environment can be understood as a multi-port cascade network (i. e., the cascade of radio environment with load circuit) terminated by individually tunable loads (independent of each other).

Experimentally realized physical-model-based wave control in metasurface-programmable complex media

no code implementations17 Jul 2023 Jérôme Sol, Hugo Prod'homme, Luc Le Magoarou, Philipp del Hougne

Strikingly, when only phaseless calibration data is available, our model can nonetheless retrieve the precise phase relations of the scattering matrix as well as their dependencies on the metasurface configuration.

Backpropagation-free Training of Deep Physical Neural Networks

Noise-Adaptive Intelligent Programmable Meta-Imager

no code implementations22 Aug 2022 Chenqi Qian, Philipp del Hougne

We present an intelligent programmable computational meta-imager that tailors its sequence of coherent scene illuminations not only to a specific information-extraction task (e. g., object recognition) but also adapts to different types and levels of noise.

Deeply Sub-Wavelength Localization with Reverberation-Coded-Aperture

no code implementations10 Feb 2021 Michael del Hougne, Sylvain Gigan, Philipp del Hougne

We demonstrate our finding in the microwave domain: harnessing the configurational DoF of a simple programmable metasurface, we localize a sub-wavelength object inside a chaotic cavity with a resolution of $\lambda/76$ using intensity-only single-frequency single-pixel measurements.
