Optimal Controller Identification for multivariable non-minimum phase systems

no code implementations30 May 2023 D. D. Huff, L. Campestrini, G. R. Gonçalves da Silva, A. S. Bazanella

This paper extends the formulation of a data-driven control method - the Optimal Controller Identification (OCI) - to cope with non-minimum phase (NMP) systems, without a priori knowledge of the NMP transmission zero, i. e. without obtaining a prior model of the plant - as in any data-driven approach.

Model predictive eco-driving control for heavy-duty trucks using Branch and Bound optimization

no code implementations6 Jun 2022 B. Wingelaar, G. R. Gonçalves da Silva, M. Lazar

Eco-driving (ED) can be used for fuel savings in existing vehicles, requiring only a few hardware modifications.

Data-driven predictive control with estimated prediction matrices and integral action

no code implementations11 Apr 2021 P. C. N. Verheijen, G. R. Gonçalves da Silva, M. Lazar

The effectiveness of the developed data-driven predictive controller is illustrated on position control of a linear motor model.

Design and assessment of an eco--driving PMP algorithm for optimal deceleration and gear shifting in trucks

no code implementations8 Apr 2021 B. Wingelaar, G. R. Gonçalves da Silva, M. Lazar, Y. Chen, J. T. B. A. Kessels

In this paper, an eco--driving Pontryagin maximum principle (PMP) algorithm is designed for optimal deceleration and gear shifting in trucks based on switching among a finite set of driving modes.
