We show that these statistics are converged to 1% (2%) for halos with more than 500 (200) particles respectively and scales of r>200 ~ h^-1 kpc in real space or k ~ 3 h Mpc^-1 in harmonic space for z\le 1.

The Effect of Fiber Collisions on the Galaxy Power Spectrum Multipole

1 code implementation6 Sep 2016 ChangHoon Hahn, Roman Scoccimarro, Michael R. Blanton, Jeremy L. Tinker, Sergio Rodriguez-Torres

Using simulated mock catalogs, we demonstrate that fiber collisions have a significant impact on the power spectrum, $P(k)$, monopole and quadrupole that exceeds sample variance at scales smaller than $k\sim0. 1~h/Mpc$.

When combined with supernova Ia data, we find H0 = 67. 3+/-1. 0 km/s/Mpc even for our most general dark energy model, in tension with some direct measurements.

Mock galaxy catalogs using the quick particle mesh method

2 code implementations21 Sep 2013 Martin White, Jeremy L. Tinker, Cameron K. McBride

Sophisticated analysis of modern large-scale structure surveys requires mock catalogs.

Redshift-Space Distortions with the Halo Occupation Distribution II: Analytic Model

no code implementations11 Apr 2006 Jeremy L. Tinker

Using a series of collisionless N-body simulations, we demonstrate that the shape of this DF is determined primarily by the distribution of local densities around a halo pair, and at fixed density the velocity DF is close to Gaussian and nearly independent of halo mass.
