Cosmological constraints from BOSS with analytic covariance matrices

1 code implementation1 Sep 2020 Digvijay Wadekar, Mikhail M. Ivanov, Roman Scoccimarro

We use analytic covariance matrices to carry out a full-shape analysis of the galaxy power spectrum multipoles from the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS).

Kreisch, Andrina Nicola, Roman Scoccimarro, Licia Verde, Matteo Viel, Shirley Ho, Stephane Mallat, Benjamin Wandelt, David N. Spergel

The Quijote simulations are a set of 44, 100 full N-body simulations spanning more than 7, 000 cosmological models in the $\{\Omega_{\rm m}, \Omega_{\rm b}, h, n_s, \sigma_8, M_\nu, w \}$ hyperplane.

The Effect of Fiber Collisions on the Galaxy Power Spectrum Multipole

1 code implementation6 Sep 2016 ChangHoon Hahn, Roman Scoccimarro, Michael R. Blanton, Jeremy L. Tinker, Sergio Rodriguez-Torres

Using simulated mock catalogs, we demonstrate that fiber collisions have a significant impact on the power spectrum, $P(k)$, monopole and quadrupole that exceeds sample variance at scales smaller than $k\sim0. 1~h/Mpc$.

Accurate Estimators of Correlation Functions in Fourier Space

2 code implementations22 Dec 2015 Emiliano Sefusatti, Martin Crocce, Roman Scoccimarro, Hugh Couchman

Efficient estimators of Fourier-space statistics for large number of objects rely on Fast Fourier Transforms (FFTs), which are affected by aliasing from unresolved small scale modes due to the finite FFT grid.

Redshift-Space Distortions, Pairwise Velocities and Nonlinearities

1 code implementation12 Jul 2004 Roman Scoccimarro

We caution that a commonly used ansatz to model the redshift-space power spectrum gives rise to an unphysical distribution of pairwise velocities, and show that it is in general impossible to derive the distribution from measurements of redshift-space clustering.

The Bispectrum: From Theory to Observations

no code implementations6 Apr 2000 Roman Scoccimarro

In this paper we consider the effect on the bispectrum of stochastic non-linear biasing, radial redshift distortions, non-Gaussian initial conditions, survey geometry and sampling.
